Biggest Statue of Jesus Christ
Statue of Jesus Christ at Hill of Crosses, a famous site of pilgrimage in northern Lithuania, is a sight to behold. With its location atop a hill, the scene is one of pure majesty. Surrounded by lush green forest, the statue of Christ appears as if he were sitting atop a golden throne. The site, which can be found on the main road between Vilnius and Riga, is a popular destination for both Lithuanians and visitors alike. The largest cross is believed to have been erected in 1919, when the city of Kaunas was the capital of the Lithuanian SSR, and the site became a pilgrimage destination.
